Wired Dragon Playground Lamp

Honestly, growing up, I have never seen the Dragon Playground, and have not done so until I started on this project. I have however, heard so many stories and seen illustrations of it everywhere, which shows how deeply rooted this playground is embedded in our history and culture. And having embarked on this project and not paying this playground a visit would be a crime!

Breaking away from conventional lamps where the designs are printed or pasted on the exterior of the lamp, I designed the interior of the Dragon Playground Lamp instead and left the exterior blank, making it look unassuming on the outside. However, when the lamp is turned on, the details show immediately!

The tile details of the Dragon Playground are also not from the 3D model itself but rather, it occured as a result of playing around with the infill and support settings on the slicer before 3D printing!

We’ve put this project on hold for quite a while, but it is now completed, and we wouldn’t have done it without the help of one of our followers who reignited our drive to complete this project so shoutout to you if you are reading this!
