As far as I can remember, most if not all of the mooncakes I’ve ever eaten at home were not bought by my family or I.
All of the mooncakes at home were gifted to us, and the ones that we bought were gifts to other people. I’ve never understood that concept as a kid but growing up, I slowly began to understand the significance of this exchange.
Because of all this exchanging, the mooncakes we gave and received were all nicely packaged, usually with a tin outer box, and an inner plastic case which was usually gold in colour.
This concept of the mooncake in a pretty packaging, combined with several events that had transpired, led to the design of our first clicky fidget toy!
