Ang Ku Kueh Keychain

Many many years back, because my late maternal grandma had a Nonya kueh shop (it's still running today by the next next generation), we would get Kuehs all the time, and my favourite one is the Ang Ku Kueh!

However, there were always two different flavours; ground peanut and mung bean, and I absolutely love the peanut and absolutely dislike the latter. I learnt from my mom to tell the difference by looking at the top of the kueh: if there's a dark patch, it's peanut and if there isn't, it's mung bean. And every single time we get Ang Ku Kueh, it's like a blind box! And I would refuse to eat it if there wasn't a dark patch... (no hate to the mung bean it's not really that bad it's just disappointing)
